Hinckley’s reopened parks, game areas, and outdoor gyms

TODAY Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council reopened all of their play areas, multi-use games areas and outdoor gyms.

As we reported last Saturday back on 11 July, the Council only reopened a total of four select play areas that day, including: Argents Mead, Granville Road, Langdale Road and Richmond Park.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council were aiming to reopen these spaces by Wednesday 15 July, but they have sucessfully managed to reopen all of them a day earlier than they had planned.

New safety guidelines and social distancing measures remain in place and the Council are urging the public to adhere to these measures when they attend the open spaces.

New playground guidelines

  • No food and drink at the play area
  • Keep your hands sanitised by cleaning them after visiting
  • Give other users room and adhere to the social distancing guidelines
  • Do not visit if you are feeling unwell
  • Limit yourself to 30 minutes at a time, so that others can have a turn
  • If the equipment is busy, come back another time
  • Once you are finished with a disposable face covering and you’re finished with it, make sure to dispose of it responsibly
  • Be patient and kind to each other
