A town centre tapas bar and restaurant, located in Hinckley’s Upper Castle Street, is now up for grabs with letting agents and property surveyors, Wards.

The premises were last home to Café Español (which translates to ‘Spanish Coffee’).
Café Español were a Spanish-themed tapas bar and eatery, with the goal of bringing a “taste of Spain to Hinckley”.
Originally, back in February 2015, Café Español tried their hand at operating in the Atkins Building but closed down at that venue on 29 July 2017 before they moved into Castle Street in August 2017 with a premises of their own.
Before it had a lease of life as the tapas bar, it originally housed Café Latino, which was an Italian inspired and themed pizza and pasta restaurant.
Sadly, on Sunday 21 June, the owners made the unfortunate announcement that it had permanently closed on their online platforms and it would not be reopening to customers, making the space currently vacant and on the market.
The owners, Julian Romero and Silvia Santiago released a statement publicly, announcing the news. They said: “Hola. Hello everyone. It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Café Español will be permanently closed. This has been a tough decision taken considering many factors.
“We would like to thank you all, including: customers, staff, musicians, Bayley and Griffiths accountants, Hinckley Chamber of Trade, Hinckley Bid, providers, personnel of the Atkins building and our actual landlord for his support during the lockdown very much for your support during these five and half years.
“We have met wonderful people and we will miss you a lot. You have made us feel at home with your friendship and affection.
“Yours sincerely, Silvia and Julian.”
The Station Road-based letting agents, Wards, are now advertising the space to potential occupants.
The property is located on Upper Castle Street and hosts three floors and even houses a sun terrace.
