CINEWORLD, the world’s second largest cinema chain, have revealed the reopening date for their Hinckley venue and the safety precautions that are in place.

On Wednesday 18 March 2020, The Crescent-based cinema in the town had to temporarily close their doors to adhere to the Government guidelines in place due to the pandemic until further notice.
This week, Cineworld have confirmed that their Hinckley location that they will reopen their doors again alongside all other Cineworld cinemas on Friday 10 July, which is just two weeks away.
A select list of the movies that will be showing once the cinema reopens in town include a handful of titles, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Onward, Bad Boys for Life, and Queen & Slim.
Cineworld have revealed the safety precautions and measures that will be in place ready for when the movie cinema complex reopens its doors to cinemagoers.
Just a few of the safety measures in place mean customers can sanitise their hands at hand sanitising stations, adhere to the social distancing measures in place, and attend movie screenings at adjusted showing times.
A spokesperson for Cineworld has given the Hinckley Free Press the full list of safety measures and guidelines, as well as a statement.
The spokesperson said: “The health and wellbeing of our customers and employees is our top priority. We are following government guidelines in order to make cinemagoers feel as comfortable and safe as possible.
“This includes implementing measures such as: arranging cinemas in a manner that promotes and maintains social distancing, staggering film start and end times, setting up additional hand sanitising stations, undertaking an advanced cleaning programme and providing staff with Covid-19 specific training.
“We will ensure a safe and enjoyable cinematic experience for all our visitors and we remain committed to being the best place to watch a movie.”
