Muffin Break were sadly forced to closed due to uncertainty with trading due to the ongoing pandemic.

Muffin Break, along with Costa Coffee, which is next door to their unit, were the first two eateries to open in the Ropewalk on the opening day and provide refreshments to shoppers in the newly-constructed indoor shopping complex.

The Ropewalk Shopping Centre opened its doors to the public for the first time on Thursday 1 September 2005.

Muffin Break was best known for serving cakes and coffees to keen customers and coffee-drinkers alike.

Speaking to the Hinckley Free Press, a spokesperson for Muffin Break said: “After 15 years of trade at Ropewalk Shopping Centre, we were unfortunately unable to agree terms with the Landlord to renew our lease.

“We would like to thank all of our loyal customers that we served over the years and would encourage them to visit their nearest Muffin Break stores in Loughborough, Burton upon Trent and Birmingham Bullring.”
