National video game specialist, GAME, have announced the date that they are set to open the doors to their newly-renovated Nuneaton shop unit.
GAME Nuneaton are nearing completion on their ‘shiny new store’ based in the Ropewalk Shopping Centre next door to Schuh, which is accessible from the Queens Road entrance.
Today, the Hinckley Free Press received confirmation from a GAME spokesperson that the national retailer will start trading from their new home later this week on Saturday 27 June.
Signs of the game retailer moving in were first spotted back on Monday 15 June where it was noticed that GAME had taken on the shop unit that used to be home to the independent menswear retailer Ministry of Design.
Game’s history in Nuneaton
GAME used to be home to a space on Queens Road before closing down four months ago on February 15.
GAME’s empty Queens Road space could possibly be transformed into a building society for Coventry Building Society who have shown interest in the space.
Closest stores until opening
If you can’t wait to get your hands on a game in-store until the Ropewalk branch opens on Saturday 27 June, you can visit two local stores.
These stores are the GAME branch in Coventry’s Arena Park Shopping Centre near Tesco Extra and Hinckley’s Castle Street branch next door to Cardzone.
