Hubbard’s Toy Cupboard was both founded and run by Hinckley shop owner Caroline Hubbard.

The retailer offered residents a wide range of toys and products, from parents to give to their newborn children, to educational products for children up until the age of 14.

The store shall soon be open again for one last time with a closing down sale taking place before it permanently shuts down and stops trading for good. The date of this sale is yet to be announced publicly.

The saddening statement was made public last night (20 June) by Hubbard’s shop owner, Caroline Hubbard.

The public statement on Facebook said: “It is with great sadness that we announce that Hubbard’s Toy Cupboard will be closing down.

“This has been a tough decision to make. I would like to thank all my customers and staff that have worked with me, helped, and supported me over the past 7 years. I will be re-opening for a closing down sale, so keep your eyes open for that.”

A spokesperson for Hubbard’s Toy Cupboard was approached to talk to the Hinckley Free Press regarding the closure, however they declined the offer at the time of publication.
