Tarro reopening for takeaway this Friday

TARRO Lounge, located in Hinckley’s outdoor shopping complex, The Crescent, are offering takeaway as a tasty treat to their customers on Friday 5 June.

The café and bar has been closed due to the current pandemic since 20 March after they had followed advice from the Government and World Health Organisation, however Loungers will be able to take their favourite foods away using the new takeaway service starting Friday.

The reopening means that whilst customers won’t have the opportunity to enjoy by dining-in at the moment, they’ll still be able to take the taste of Tarro to their own homes.

Customers can order the phone or by visiting the Lounge. The takeaway times are 10am until 2pm and 5pm until 9pm for seven days a week.

Donna Wrightham, General Manager of Tarro Lounge, said: “The whole team is excited at Tarro Lounge to be back with our amazing community. While adhering to all social distancing and safety rules, we hope to see not only our regular customers but many new ones too!”

Tarro Lounge will be providing a 25 per cent discount to all NHS staff members. 50 pence from each burger and main purchased shall go towards Age UK.

All NHS staff members need to do to claim their discount is show their NHS ID.

Whilst Tarro will be operating from a reduced menu, they are still serving a wide array of tempting options for their loyal Loungers to take away.

The team at Tarro have considered and catered for customers who are gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan and shall offer them menu items for their own dietary requirements and preferences.

Meat-eaters will be able to get their hands on the Lounge classics such as the Bang Bang Chicken and the Lounge Bacon Cheeseburger.

New takeaway health and safety measures

Entrance and waiting areas are now very spacious to ensure that social distancing is still taking place, with markers on the floor so that Loungers who are taking away shall adhere to social distancing rules.

Safety screens have been installed to minimise contact when ordering from the till.

The number of customers will be restricted, depending on the size of the Lounge.

The Tarro team working behind the scenes preparing the food shall be working from their very own designated workstations for specific roles, to avoid cross over of workflows.

Hand sanitiser will be readily available at the doors for Loungers entering Tarro, as Tarro Lounge are being extra cautious, and handwashing has been increased.

Surface washing has been ‘ramped up’ and only contactless card payments and digital mobile payments shall be accepted for the time being, meaning cash will not be accepted for the time being.

Staff members at the Lounge shall be checked to see if they are fit and healthy by checking their symptoms before each shift by having their temperatures checked.

To avoid potential crowding and reduce waiting times, Tarro Lounge shall be limiting the number of orders to ensure top quality takeaway food.
