DURING this ongoing pandemic, fast-food and takeaways have been missed by many.
Through these uncertain times, we’ve seen dine-in restaurants and drive-thrus temporarily close until they get the green light to open again from the Government.
In an interesting turn of events, American chicken fast-food chain, KFC, have decided to reopen their Hinckley drive-thru located on Maple Drive in Hinckley.

The drive-thru, located at Maple Drive near the Marina pub, quietly opened back up five days ago on 13 May, on a drive-thru only basis, meaning customers cannot dine-in.
KFC are offering a limited menu only at this moment in time, which has received mixed reactions amongst customers locally.
Customers mentioned on the Spotted Hinckley Facebook page that they are displeased with the fact that the KFC gravy is not on the menu to go with any chicken.
American-owned sandwich shop franchise, Subway, started operating from their branch in Hinckley town centre on the very same day that KFC reopened.
Subway did not mention having any restrictions on their menu options. However, they are only offering takeaway food so that customers will not be able to eat in.

Customers can still order their food in the store whilst adhering to social distancing measures.
Alternatively, if customers are opting to stay at home, they have the ability to order food from the Deliveroo app on mobile devices, or Deliveroo’s website online which will arrive with contact-free delivery.
Even though Subway’s Castle Street branch are operating again offering only takeaway orders, their franchise on Maple Drive near KFC is not listed on Deliveroo.
