Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council have forced fly-tippers to pay up with fines for leaving waste in a supermarket car park.
On 8 April, the Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council issued a shocking total of seven fines all at £100 if payed in the first seven days, or £150 if they pay in 14 days.
The fines were issued on 8 April after the fly-tippers had dumped their waste at the Sainsbury’s supermarket car park in Hinckley next to the clothing donation points and recycling next to Brunel Road West.
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council took to their official Twitter account to issue a statement on the matter.
They said: “We know that getting rid of waste is difficult, but we will not tolerate waste being dumped. #storeathome.”
