Whilst very little is known about the plans at this moment in time, the sports chain could move in at the end of the year, likely around the month of November.

It is not public knowledge what unit JD are set to occupy at this moment in time, however there are a handful of vacant spaces up for grabs for JD Sports to choose from.

The units that are available are: Topman and Topshop’s shared unit, the former space of menswear retailer Ministry, former accessory retailer, Accessorize, and womenswear clothing store, Monsoon.

This would mark the first sports retailer to step back into the Ropewalk complex after they lost JJB sports in 2012, which has now been converted to a 24 hour Puregym gymnasium.
