Nuneaton’s TJ Hughes lose in-store cafe

National homeware and clothes retailer, TJ Hughes, have stopped serving up food and drink to customers in their in-store café.

Shoppers of Nuneaton’s Ropewalk have noticed the signs outside the front of TJ  Hughes on the ground floor that the café is no longer in use.

At the former site of ‘The Café at TJ’s’, a sign has now appeared and been placed where the entrance would be.

A notice on a yellow background with red letters reads “Café now closed. Please accept our apologies.”

The entrance has also been blocked off by a white barrier and Christmas tree left over from the holiday season.

An employee at the TJ Hughes Nuneaton branch said: “TJ Hughes’ café closed because it was the café owner’s decision, so it will not be used anymore.”

TJ Hughes café replaced the BHS café when it moved into the former BHS café space back on 15 May 2019.

It retained an original photograph of Nuneaton’s very own Market Place, which was left behind in the space from the former occupant BHS.
