New deals secured in Hinckley as two spaces snapped up

THE CRESCENT shopping complex could become home to a new retailer soon and The Borough in the town centre may be home to a new restaurant in the near future if plans go ahead successfully.

Wards Surveyors, based on Station Road, broke the news on their official Facebook page last Friday. The post from Friday reads that they are in the process of acquiring the former Select unit in The Crescent with a retailer secured for that unit.

Wards have managed to secure an occupant for a restaurant in the former Lloyds Bank space in The Borough.

Although the occupant for The Crescent’s retail space remains a mystery, we have learnt that the retailer are a national clothing and homeware retailer.

The occupant in discussions for the space in The Borough is currently being kept under wraps and Wards are keeping their cards close to their chest until a deal has been secured for good.

The leases on both spaces will have to be finalised in due course in order for these plans to go ahead.

Harry Ward, of Wards Surveyors, spoke to Notizie regarding the news. He said: “The commercial property market in Hinckley has had a great start to 2020 across all sectors, including industrial, office and retail.

In terms of retail, despite the nationwide rhetoric regarding the demise of the High Street, Hinckley town centre remains resolute with strong occupancy rates and good interest in the town from a variety of national and independent retailers.

This is illustrated by the new retailers we have secured for 10 The Borough and The Crescent, who are both brand new occupiers for the town and will be great additions to Hinckley’s thriving town centre.”
