Today marked the opening of Hinckley Bid’s Santa’s Grotto event, which is taking place in Britannia Shopping Centre.
A new toy train track has also been set up in Santa’s Amazing Grotto. Children can enjoy it ‘with their eyes’ as the general public cannot touch the display.
The space has also fitted with a ski bar for photo opportunities and a ski-lift backdrop, which you can see in the photograph below.
Santa is now staying in his new home, the Grotto, over the course of the next five days.
Director of Hinckley Bid, Steve Wegerif, said: “Santa’s Grotto (which is organised by Hinckley BID each year) is an opportunity for the town centre businesses to thank all those who come into Hinckley to shop.
Today is day one, and we are delighted to see so many smiling faces radiating from Children of all ages as Santa and his Elves talk to them about Christmas.”
