Hinckley Bid are hosting their third annual Santa’s Grotto event in Britannia Shopping Centre. The event will run over the course of five days from the 18th to the 22nd of December.
From the start date on the 18th until the last weekday which will be the 20th of December, the event will take place from 12 noon to six in the evening. And during the final days of the event on the weekend, the time will be from 10 in the morning to four o’clock in the afternoon.
The event is priced at £2 per child with free admission to under 3 year olds. Every child attending the event shall receive a complimentary gift from Father Christmas himself.
Steve Wegerif, Director of Hinckley Bid said: “Hinckley Bid’s annual Santa’s Grotto runs for five days. About 800 children went through the Grotto last year on various days and they all had a great time. The Grotto is being built by a specialist company so it will be a winter wonderland. Hopefully children can get the ‘wow factor’ that Christmas brings.”
Brio Media, graphic designers who work in collaboration with Hinckley Bid, were contacted about their thoughts on this year’s Santa’s Grotto event.
Elliott Wynd-Jennings of Brio Media said: “It has grown every year since they started it and I think this year’s will be bigger than ever. The unit has been specially decorated and Santa will be there for five days. Other Santa’s Grotto’s can be quite expensive.”
Alex Russell of Brio Media said: “This year they had new artwork for Santa’s Grotto and their new artwork went in frames in the windows. It’s nice that we did that.”
